went whale watching in Kaikoura which was good but the boat ride was unbelievably sickening and there was a group of hungover scottish guys throwing up next to me. nice. Kaikoura was stunning, it was a really sunny day and there were mountains behind me and the pacific in front. saw dolphins and seals too. I was going to go swimming with dolphins but then remembered my fear of dark water. and sharks. so didn't. Caught the ferry from Picton to Wellington today and met back up with Donna. Wellington is just a city so can't wait to move on and explore the north island. We just had a spa in the hostel we were in. it was fit. Napier tomorrow!
