Dads insomnia has faded away since we hit Saskatoon we got up at a reasonable 10AM on Saturday! Judy has cooked us loads of awesome food while we have been here. We got lost on a day out to 'Waskesiu lake' in the Prince Albert National Park and ended up in town called 'la Ronge' 60 miles further North. Between me, Dad and Mick we discovered we couldn't read a map, use a Sat Nav or read road signs!
On this trip out we saw 1 Gofer 4 Deer loads of Elk poop but still no Elk!
My Canadian is coming on, I mastered "your not s***tin' me are you?" and the obvious ones, 'Crisps' are now 'Chips' and 'Chips' are now 'Fries' and instead of 'Kilometers' we travel in 'Clicks' lots and lots of 'Clicks'.
Mick and Judy have been wonderful, they introduced us to friends and family who have put up with us with a fabulous dinner and a great morning brunch. We watched a few Hockey games, Judy's brother gave me some shooting tips and took us to the rink to watch the juniors train. (now I just need to learn to skate)
Saskatoon has been great, the trails down by the river are nice to ride, I think we managed to cross all the bridges at one point or another and the people are so friendly.
Back on the road again now ........ next stop 'Moose Jaw' ....... I love these names.
