Too Cold For Penguins
Hey Everybody!
We have spent the last few days in Fiordland National Park. We spent a few nights in Te Anau, a small town on the edge of Lake Te Anau. In between we drove out to Milford for a cruise on the Milford Sound, which was absolutely fantastic, but very very cold... Actually that pretty much sums up our entire journey so far.... fantastic, but very very cold!!! In a lay-by on the route to Milford we saw a Kea, which is a fat, green, mountain parrot (not sure if they're all that fat, but this one was humungous). Very cute but apparently they are quite partial to the odd windscreen wiper or two when they're peckish so we didn't hang around for too long.
We visited the Glow-worm caves at Te Anau and that was great too. They're very bright for such tiny creatures. Unfortunately we weren't allowed to take any pictures.
The car is running well still. It had a bit of a barney this morning and we had to call the AA out (slight hiccup), but it's business as usual now. On our way to Queenstown today.
Hope you are all keeping well!
Love from Helen and Ben xx
