We had one night on Magnetic Ilsand and then one in Townsville on the main land. Arrived by ferry to Magnetic Island and the guesthouse we stayed in had a Rolls Royce which they picked us up in!! Was nice travelling in style but the bus was a bit of a let down after this, hehe! Stayed at Arcadia Guesthouse and Steve who picked us up quickly drove us around the area before we checked in. Had a wander around and checked out the beach. About an hour before sunset we headed to a point at one end of the beach where there are wild Rock Wallabies which you can feed! Once we got some fruit out the wallabies kept coming out, they are so cute and some really close to us! Had a lovely room in the guesthouse, all the rooms had names and ours was called Lovers Bay! Had an ensuite and our own kitchen bit.

Next morning we checked out and caught ferry back to Townsville, stayed at Globetrotters for one night. In the afternoon had a wander around but not that much to see, more of a place you just stop at to get somewhere else. Started raining heavily late afternoon so didn't venture from the hostel in the evening. Mission Beach next stop on the tour...
