Our World Cruise
Another two days sailing and we reach Port Douglas where we anchor and get ashore by tender. Again we walkedi through the town looking at the clothing and souvenirs shops and onto 7 mile beach. Everything is expensive or 'Made in China'. "Think we will wait until we reach Hong Kong and later Vietnam". We start to make our way back to the ship, but a little restaurant serving Baramundi and Chips and fresh mud crab and salad proved too tempting and was well worth it. We don't get enough food on board!!!
Now 5 days sailing through the Torres Strait which separates Australia from New Guinea and on through the Indonesian islands to North Borneo.

Marina Well you two that sounds so exciting, as we battle with wind and rain, and not really that warm yet again. The talk of Sydney did bring back very happy memories for us as well, a beautiful place to see and visit. Keep up the good work, or eating, drinking, partying, and visiting lovely places for us all. Really enjoying it all. love to you both Marinaxxx
Lillian and Allen all sounds fab! missing you in class Anna, you know how people cant wait to pinch your place if you're not bang on time, Allen and i were both at the back his week :-) and its so quiet without our little commentary now and then, so glad you're having such a great time x
Noreen So nice to be reminded of the charms of Sydney - as you say, one of the loveliest cities in the world. I watched the webcam while you were off the coast of Rockhampton, north of Brisbane and saw all the little islands that I guess were just off the Barrier Reef. Were you able to see any of the reef or the marine life along that coastline? This is such an amazing trip for you both! Looking forward now to seeing what the Indonesian islands have to offer! Love to you both, Noreen xx
