Headed out this am, leaving the state park in Oklahoma, we headed west across the entire pan handle, into NM for a short time, then north into Colorado. The landscape continued to be lush farmland north and south of us until the mountains of Colorado came into view, then we started our climb north over the mountain, reaching the elevation of 9425 ft, it was a slow, tedious climb in the rv, heating up the transmission, once we crested, it was a smooth ride down. We arrived at our KOA in alamosa, co, near the great sand dunes NP which we r looking forward to exploring tomorrow. Note the snow on some of the mts in my photos!!
