Zoe and Ed's Travels
Greetings from South Australia.
We are now on the road with our campervan, so updates may be sporadic.
We took the Groovy Grape tour down from Alice Springs to Adelaide via Uluru and Kings Canyon, which was spectacular and great fun. We were camping out in swags (glorified sleeping bags) under the stars, around the campfire. It was a bit cold, but we soon found out that it got warmer the more beer you drank.
We had a recovery day in Adelaide, mainly doing laundry and sleeping - we had been getting up to watch the sunrise over Uluru/Kings canyon/Katja Tutja/Breakaways every morning.
Now we are in the campervan we have driven down the Fleurieu peninsula, and along the Coorong to Mt Gambier. We are going to go inland for a bit to the Grampian mountains before joining the Great Ocean Road down to Melbourne. The campervan is great - comfy bed, fridge, microwave, grill and gas rings, and there are loads of camping grounds to stay at.
