Hello, We are having a mixed time in Bijapur! On the one hand there is some fine Islamic architecture to look at. On the other hand the town (like many others we have visited) is full of people intent on asking your name or running you over, or both! Hi all, We sadly left Goa after a lovely couple of weeks and got the train to Hospet. There's not much here but just nearby is Hampi which is an old state capital full of ruined temples. We have wandered around the main sites and had a coracle ride up the river looking at the huge boulders and rock formations along the way. We flew to Mumbai from Hong Kong via Sri-Lanka, and were planning to take the train to Goa, but then chickened out of the 15 hour train journey as we had landed at 2.30 in the morning and had no sleep, so we flew to Goa instead - much more civilised.
