We are currently in Kolkata Airport awaiting our (delayed) flight to Bangladesh, so this is goodbye to India. We haven't been doing much in Kolkata. We visited the Victoria Memorial - quite impressive in a very British way. We also went to St Paul's Cathedral and the planetarium, which was cool. Greetings from Kolkata (also known as Calcutta). We arrived here yesterday on a flight from Delhi - the most civilized way to travel across India, what? We've been taking it easy today - had a lovely lunch on a 10th floor rooftop terrace restaurant (from where we could watch the smog lifting), watched some cricket on the Maidan (big green area in the centre of the city) and then went for a coffee and cake. Also browsed a couple of bookshops. It's much warmer here...
