After a long lie in we got all our stuff together and ready to head down to the beach house. Pip has kindly lent us her car, so me and Nick will be driving it as Ben had his license stolen in Thailand.

Once ready we headed into Auckland to pick up James and Clare. Then stated our road trip! Pretty excited!

It took us about 2 hours to get to the beach house and we arrived mid afternoon. We settled in and chose our rooms. Took a look at the stunning beach and had a little stroll before going into town to do a mini shop so we had food for the next 4 days.

James and Clare cooked us a pasta bake which was nice and filling then we played a long game of Monopoly which lasted at least 2 hours so I got bored and gave up! Bedtime for me!
