Hey guys!

First off, let's deal with that picture! I found a Santa store, on the airport (in Helsinki)- in July!! Maybe I shouldn't be surprised though, cause in Ocean city they have one all year as well..

Enough about the picture. I just woke up from sleeping like a rock/like a little baby for 13h straight. So I haven't been that much fun of a roommate for Jamie and Andy yet - but I blame it on the jet lag and lack of sleep!

My last flight was a lot of fun. Sat in the middle of two guys/men, both living in Brisbane - but one was Irish!! Haha. It def brought memories back with Gerry and Barry. The other guy has lived in Aussie for the past 25 years or so and works at one of the unis in Brisbane (UQ). Both funny guys. Wasn't able to sleep though, but it was worth it.

I got in the line for customs and it was nothing like in the US. She just smiled and let me through without questions. They broke my bag somewhere along the way though, but I was afraid the guy from Griffith that was going to pick me up wasn't going to wait for me so I didn't address it with the baggage service. Either way, I came out and there were all these people waiting holding up names. After finally finding "my guy" he tells me we have to wait for these other stundents arriving, in the next hour or so.. Completely bummed me out at first but then I found a girl from San Diego waiting for her Danish boyfriend. So we started talking.

Students from other unis arrived too and let's just say QUT will have a big Asia-ville this year. Wow.

Oh right, forgot to say that I realized my phone wasn't working when I got to Brisbane, and I had no idea how to get in contact with Jamie. Turns out he tried to get in touch with me too and something was def up with my phone..

Driving into Surfers was like a dream. Thinking that I would be a part of this was a complete joke to me. I'm sorry I didn't take any pics yet, but I will later today! Promise!!

I got to our apt bldg and tried to get Jamie to come down without much luck at first. But now after a little while he came down and up we went. We live of the 18th floor, not the 17th like I said before. Awesome view of the ocean and over Surfers. Can't wait o to go exploring!!!

Anyway, we went for something to eat after I dropped my things of and also got me a new Aussie nr before my "nap". I honestly thought I was only going to sleep for a little bit... 13h later here I am :p

We're gonna watch a movie now so I'll write more later :)
