Moving on from Port Augusta, the drive through to Adailade was interesting with the hills in front of me. I did the tourist route to the caravan park, but once arrived it was lovely, just around the corner from the beach. There was a long pathway right along the beach up to the outer harbour, so a good opportunity to do a bike ride (bottom didn't think so). I met up with the friends on the Scandanavia trip and we had dinner together, once again right on the water front. The homes in this area are the lovely S.A. architecture. On the Friday I picked up my brother & sister-in-law (Rob & Marge) at the airport, and then travelled a little way south to the Fleurie Penincular. I though this area would be out in the country, but no Adelaide just goes on & on. Once again I chose a lovely caravan park right on the beach. Our time here was busy doing day trips every day. First into the Mclaren Vale area, with lots of wineries (no tasting). We just looked at the different architecture. They also had a market day. Another day was along one up to Hahndorf, through the country road to Murry Bridge. Finally a day trip to Victor Harbour, so we criss cross all over the Fleurier penincular seeing wineriers, farm land, wood trees and very dry country. Yesterday we moved on to Mt. Gambier. The trip wasn't all that interesting just flat dry plans as we took the B1 route. Having a rest day today before exploring Mt. Gambier.
