From Lismore we travelled through a variety of country, from horse stud properties, canola fields (this really make a beautiful patch work of the countryside) coal mines & wineries, arriving in Lithgow mid afernoon. We stopped in Mudgee to have a look around, this is a very pretty town, old but well maintained and lovely with trees and flower beds. There was quite a bit of hill climbing so I had to take it easy. Set off for Lismore to have the caravan fixed. Rob set the GPS for the shortest route, but he forgot to take out dirt roads. You've guessed it we went through a National Park that was very much dirt and pot holes. This saved us all of 10 minutes. The many thing is we arrived safe without any further damage done. We left Toowoomba at 8.45 a.m. and headed south towards Warick but turned off just before up towards Canungra. We set up in the camp ground near the river. BIG DISAPOINTMENT I didn't get to Africa, but never mind I have seen a lot more of Q'ld. With Rob & Marge's local knowledge, they have taken me to lovely pincins in the mountains. Once up to Sommerset Dam and then on to Mt. Glorious, where we did a lovely walk through the forrest.
