After my last blog update I spent 2 weeks in Newcastle where I worked 2 hours a day for accommodation. This involved cleaning the hostel (making beds, cleaning the bathrooms and kitchen) from 10am-12pm in a team of about 5 people. The work was really easy, the group was great and it was really nice to stay in one place for long enough to relax without feeling the need to rush around to see and do everything in a short space of time. After my last blog entry I went to meet Rachael, a family friend who now lives in Perth. We went up to Kings Park, above the city, and ate kebabs looking out at the sky-line which was lit up and reflecting off the river. It really is a beautiful city at night! I finally left the farm about 2 weeks ago and headed to Brisbane where I met up with a group of friends all of whom I worked with at some point on the farm. I spent about 4 days in Brisbane, in torrential rain. I really dont think it stopped once! We visited Australia Zoo which was interesting, Steve Irwin was everywhere!!
