Today, we went back to Washington D.C to catch our flight but stopped at the Smithsonian to look at the National History museum. We first got to see a boat that had sunk during the Revolutionary War, and compared to Old Ironsides, I'm surprised that there wasn't anymore damage done. It looked like a big rowboat to me. After that, we looked at the dresses of the First Ladies which I thought was really cool except for the fact that they didnt have every single dress in the exhibit. But I liked how you can see the evolution of fashion and body shape throughout the years. The first dresses were for short, large woman and later on evolved into dresses for tall, skinny woman. After that we saw the pop culture exhibit which had all sorts of miscellaneous knick knacks, like Dorithy's shoes, and then we were off to the airport. Overall, I really enjoyed this trip. Besides it being exhausting, it was fun to be able to make new friends from different places, get to see the places that before now, we have only seen in a textbook, and get an indepth experience, learning things that we wouldn't normally learn in the classroom.
