Hello hello...the blog is back by public demand. Thanks for all the great feedback guys...I wasn't sure how the ramblings of a mad woman would go down but seemingly quite well!
Since my last post, the small matter of selling my house has taken over my life. In the last 3 weeks I have either given away, thrown away, sold or packed up everything I own. I'll restrain myself from boring you with all the details but lets just say I still can't use EBay, friends and family have done well on new gear and I've kept Gumtree in business for the last 25 days :)
Seriously it has been pretty full on and I am enjoying my glass of Shiraz in the Escape lounge once again.
Mum and Dad - thank you for all of your help and support, I'll try not to be too much of a worry for you in Thailand and I promise I will come back for all the things you're storing for me!
So the next few days will mostly be spent in airports, queuing up, watching films, reading and eating tiny meals - good job I love travelling.
7 hours from here to Dubai, a 2 hour connection, 7 hours to Bangkok.
A quick overnight in Bangkok before I fly to Surit Tani to catch a minibus then boat to Koh Tao. All being well I should arrive there on Thursday morning UK time.
I'll be meeting one of my very best friends in Koh Tao, Beki. I've not seen her since November so I am beyond excited! Will be great to have a travel buddy for a while before I get down the the serious business of learning to teach diving...eek! Still can't believe it, feels like I'm off to live the dream :)
I'll hopefully be able to add pictures real time now I have my iPhone with me. Lets start with the Shiraz.
Thanks for the gorgeous send off everyone, loved all the leaving drinks and meals. Very lucky to have you all, going to miss everyone heaps...
Right that's enough otherwise I'll get soppy and this will turn into an Oscar acceptance speech ;)
I'm off to have another crack at this thing called life! I'll keep you posted...
