Day 11; our Mock exam where we run through the whole schedule under exam conditions. Nerves pretty frayed the night before but after some more physics/physiology and equipment revision I felt ok going into the exam in the morning. All went well and I passed each section :)
The afternoon was spent on the boat presenting skills in the open water.
We were given a choice of which skills to practice and encouraged to choose the hardest ones so that any mistakes are made before the real exam.
I had a knot tying skill (2 half hitches) and the CESA. Both a bit tricky...the point of the presentations is to simulate teaching students and they are given fake problems by the examiners that I had to spot. It actually went really well! I was so relived and after my mid week wobble now have my confidence back :)
Day 2 of the mock today with confined water and classroom presentations. Bring it on!
