This morning I am writing from our motel on Route 66 in Tucumcari, renowned in song and story. The place we are staying is a typical roadside motel, but they have added some retro twists that make it fun. There is an old radio that plays only songs about Tucumcari, of which there are a surprising number. Just a quick blog to keep you up to date with our travels. We left Zion early because we had a long day of driving in front of us. Our first stop was the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. Well we've come to the end of another day in Zion. It was 96 degrees out there today, but I never get bothered by it out in the desert, unless I'm really doing something strenuous.
