After a mix up by Qantas, we arrived at JFK airport six hours later than planned. We got metro passes and explored. We headed straight to time square to see the bright lights and massive screens which neighbours broadway! We finnished the first day walking through central park, visiting the john lennon memorial garden, strawberry fields. The next day we visited the 9/11 memorial site, which was a maze of security checks. Amazing waterfalls where the old towers stood, but all in all a strange tourist attraction! From there we headed to Liberty island and saw the statue of liberty. Seems smaller than we imagined. The final day beth went to the MONA gallery of modern art, while i shopped around for NYPD t-shirts for my nephews. The afternoon we went to see "one man,two guv'nors" staring James Corden. Was a great Broadway experience and we even got to have pictures with Mr Corden at the stage door!! Depressing feeling to know that our adventures are coming to an end!!
