With the bus booked, now it was just a case of seeing the rest of the sites! i started by going to see Sydney fc play! it something i had really looked forward too! to be back at a football ground, the noise, the smell, it was like i was at home! it felt good, but it was slightly odd they had stopped selling programs! which was a shame as i have a program from every team i've seen play! i also wondered how you knew who the player were! but it was ok because i actually recognised some, one used to play at Woking with Ross! the game wasn't the bes,t and the standard didn't match the 40,000 seater stadium we were in! (i'm shaw it gets full for the rugby!) but that didn't mater the last live game i went to was in August and that had been too long! and in that time the only game i had seen was Ross play Man utd! This week in Sydney has been the start of the Sydney festival! and the opening night had Notting Hill DJ Norman Jay DJing on an open top London bus! with what looked like Carl Cox and defiantly JK from Jamiroquai! playing from 3-11pm! so a few of us from the Frazer trip spent the evening hitting in Hyde park (not London) chilling! I also went to Boni Beach! as i got off the bus my first thoughts were how english the beach looked! with all the shops car park and rolling hills in the back ground! all the other beaches i had been to since i had been away were very pure just sand and sea! so it was quite different from the rest! it also wasn't as busy as i thought it maybe! so that was a bonus! Yesterday i got the ferry to Manly! and spent the day at the beach! and there where a lot more people there! bt with the sea in it didn't leave much room for the amount of people! but it was a good day! and i nice break from the city! Hostel has been ok, but i found it quite "clicky" and the bed has been the worst i every slept on! so for the last week i really haven't slept much at all! last night, i decided to watch a movie then go to bed and it worked then! just as i fell asleep the fire alarm went off only this wasn't a drill! this was real! i could smell the smoke! so we all evacuated the building! and in just a pair of shorts and vest i was freezing!! but not burning in my room so that was ok! it turned out that it wasn't our hostel but the building next door and the smoke had crept in through the open windows so when it was all clear back to bed we went! but with smoke still hanging about the alarms went off a few more times! So i'm hoping the Melbourne will bring a good nights sleep! so i catch the night bus on Friday at 8pm arriving in Melbourne at 8am! i've also bought a cushan to try and help me sleep on the bus! hopfully the city of Melbourne and the people will be more my "cup of tee" (to quote ross!)
