We are back in Auckland - where it all started. We spent our last couple of days mostly as follows: get up in the morning, have breakie, pack up the White Bullet (at that point we were down to about 3 minutes...), hit the road in search of the perfect little cafe with lots of free magazines and newspapers where we would spend a good two hours nursing a "flat white" and sharing some bakings... life is good . Then some sight seeing, people watching - which was very interesting (e.g. the lady that saved her already well used chewing gum for after the meal by having it on the table next to her plate - worked into a neat little ball of course), looking for a campground for the night, cooking dinner, drinking boxed wine, read. Of course we also always managed to squeeze in a nice afternoon picnic & beer break. Back in Auckland we went to the Mission Bay Blues and Jazz Festival. About 20 bands were playing all along the beach and the main drag... very neat feel to it and some good tunes... we just meandered from one band to the next, listened for a while, had a drink, moved to the next one. All very relaxing. We are however also looking forward to having our own little place for a while and not having to pack up every day and being on the move. Baebs is also rather tired of cooking one burner dishes and - I have to admit - is also looking forward to having a glass of wine and not a porcelain cup of wine .... ahh... luxuries are awaiting us.
