Quick stop in Chiangmai to break up the journey as we had decided to head straight to Pai. We had heard about riding mopeds to Pai and thought this would be a great idea even though none of us had ever rode one before. It seems the guardian angel Kelly's mum had given us worked that day because aha travel were all out of mopeds.

Another bus journey it seemed. As the bus wasn't till 3:30, we decided to have a little stroll around Chiangmai. After 6 weeks of noodles, noodles and more bloody noodles we finally cracked and headed into subway! It was so so good, it even smelt like subway back home: winner winner chicken dinner. As we drove up the hills into Pai, we noticed a lot of forest fires due to it being the hottest time of year almost in Thailand. We then drove past a tree which was on fire and had fallen into the electrical wires above. It wasn't until we arrived in Pai that we realised what had happened. Hello power cut! Luckily we had met 2 lads on the bus who knew their way to our hostel. Again the guardian angel worked its magic as we would have had no chance of finding darling view hostel in the dark! Quick pop into town for some street food then off to bed, well we say bed, we mean 16 mattresses all on the floor. Hello one big sleepover!
