As a leaving party for our family we decided on cooking food from all the different countries that we are going to visit whilst on our travels. We planned the food and got most of the recipes of the internet, and planned to do all the prep and cold stuff between us on the saturday, but after the leaving party on the friday night corinne wasn't really upto much and pretty much refused to get out of bed (she can't handle her drink). Lots of family, some friends and a couple of free-loaders popped around ( them next door) to sample some grub.

The food that we cooked was

USA - hot dogs / chocolate brownies

Hawaii - poke with tuna / coconut and macadamia cake

New Zealand - lamb stew

Fiji - potato and lentil curry / coconut chutney / sweet potato and pinapple bake / banana and cassava cake

Australia - kangeroo steaks

Thailand - thai green curry / coconut rice / chicken satay with peanut sauce

Hong Kong - vegtable stir fry

South Africa - bebojie / ostritch steaks

every one loved the food, some were reluctant to try the kangeroo cause they had seen skippy when the where kids , but oh well there loss
