Day 36 Auckland to Christchurch. Landed in Auckland a few minutes late.
Nikita and myself managed to get a few hours kip in the very spacious and comfortable Premium Economy seats fitting in a movie before and after dozing off. Great service on NZ1 from LAX with plenty of good food and drink along with accommodating Cabin Crew.
Cleared NZ Biosecurity ok, after having the consent to bring in a small piece of drift wood that Tony had collected from the banks of the Mississippi River in St. Louis.
Took the short 10 minute walk from the International Terminal to the Domestic Terminal and parked up in the Air NZ Koru lounge with Tony enjoying a double shot cappuccino to get through the morning. Nikita relished a hot chocolate drink - ordered directly from the iPad at the counter and ready 10 mins later due to busy demands. Landed in CHC and collected the car parked in the airport vicinity by Suzanne the previous day. Seemed a little bit strange to drive on the left hand side of the road again after 2-1/2 weeks and over 3000 miles of driving on the RHS in the US but managed to get home safely.
Zoe our 2-1/2 year old Border Collie was exited to see us along with the menagerie of other animals that we have and that Nikita so much adores.
It's great to be back home after a memorable 5 weeks abroad; experiencing innumerable events, experiences and interactions with so many other people from all over the world that has given us all an overdose of satisfaction and enjoyment.
Thank you all for following our blog and adding your comments.
Signing off till the next adventure. Tony, Suzanne and Nikita.
