Day 34 Las Vegas / Los Angeles / Auckland. The looooooong day returning home. Up at 6:15 am for an early breakfast before catching the American Airlines flight from the Silver State of Nevada at 10:10am back to LA.
Caught the shuttle back to Day's Inn retrieving our stored luggage; booked a day room and re packed our gear for the return flight home. Caught up on the travel blog as the past few days in Las Vegas had been full on. Enjoyed a dip in the pool, a lot cooler than the pool back in Las Vegas, very refreshing to say the least! Took the shuttle back to LAX and checked in for the Air NZ flight through to AKL.
Returned to LAX and after being on standby for 1-1/2 hrs we both eventually got boarding passes. Missed out on full upgrade to Business Class but got the next best deal going - 2 seats in Premium Economy. Better that than being off loaded and having to look for a bed in LA for the night.
