Leaving Normanton we started heading towards the East Coast. We encountered a new type of road on this journey, a single lane of tarseal with gravel on either side. When you met someone coming towards you you both pull off to the side which creates a lot of dust and gravel being thrown at each other's vehicles. Hi all This is just a quick blog to keep the map correct. The picture is of a life size replica made of the biggest croc ever shot and is ( 8.5 m long ) and in the Guinness book of records. It looks too big to me but apparently it is correct.

Hi guys It was a long drive up into the very small and remote place of Karumba in the Gulf of Carpentaria which looked just fabulous. It was our 30th wedding anniversary so it was a quick shower and on with the glad rags before walking around to the local hotel for a wine and a meal while watching a fabulous sunset. I guess after 30 years of Marriage and still together having fun is worth celebrating. The weather as usual is still very hot up here and it's nice...
