Hi Everyone.

I have spent the weekend in Toronto. I arrived by train from Niagara and have stayed at the University, a bit high brow for me I know but it has been good. I met a fellow traveller from Southampton who has basically done the trip I am about to do so he is going the opposite way round. Nice guy.

I went on the town to have something to eat and ended up in a Mexican place. The best bit was chatting to the staff who recommended the Jazz Club which was underneath. I went back my room, changed and presented myself to the door. Well what a great night. The place was a small restaraunt / club with several resident bands. I dont have the details with me at present as to who the band were but let me tell you they were very very good indeed. The Band leader was called Tyler and he was easily an equal for Jamie Cullum who I really like. They played three sets and it would have been rude to leave early. Consequently I saw 3am and had a thoroughly great night.

I will fill you in on the characters who I met when I have more time. Jess, Flynn and Tim yours days are numbered! Regards to you all if you are reading this.

Toronto is a good place, a mixture of old and new which seems to blend well. I did the usual bits and went up the CN tower. I have some good pictures from there and around the City. When I get to Bernies house in about 8 days time I will be attempting to download all the photos.

I had lunch down by one of the Piers, it has been a beautiful day here and it was simply glorious to sit out in the sun and rest my weary feet! My sandles kill me. Seriously kill me, I now have two huge blisters because once I started walking I just had to keep going, it would have been a waste otherwise!

So I have had to perform surgery, Barbaras' surgical appliances have come in useful, I haven't had to use the drip yet but you know there is time!

Okay I am going to leave now as I have an early start tomorrow. I am leaving here and flying to Edmonton. I will be staying in the City overnight before I pick up a car to drive through The Rockies, which I am really looking forward to. My next update will include the route I am taking as well as further details of this weekend. I'm not sure when that will be as I think I have some serious sight seeing ahead of me. Dont worry my notesarein my journal. Okay I am off.
