Wilson's World Tour
We arrived in Lima after three flights from Rio, it was pretty tiring and we eventually arrived at midnight. Thankfully we had arranged for the Hostel owner to collect us form the Airport. The hostel was lovely, it was in the safest part of Lima, overlooking the pacific ocean. The owner also had three black mastiffs which were all huge, but great. It was such a great place to chill out, it really was a home from home. We owe a lot to Mauricio but thats another story !. Lima itself was a bit of a let down, there were starbucks TGI and of course McDonalds. We heard there was a really good indian market so went there in a taxi only to find tourist tat, it was quite sad that their culture has been diluted by our Western influence. Having said that we both have really fond memories of our stay.
We arranged to get a bus to Nazca, famous for the mysterious lines which have been drawn in the desert planes. It was a mere six hour journey and on the most luxurious bus i have ever been on. The seats were about two foot thick and reclined almost flat ! We watched three movies and eat Chicken rice and sweet potatoe just like me muma used to make !
