Hi Everyone,
Another beautiful morning, we have been so lucky with the weather so far, we must also be so relaxed as we were so late waking up!!
We had previously arranged to meet up with Phil, Pat, Marion and Alan today and we going out for the day with them. Phil had selected Charlecote Park to take us to, which is a lovely beautifully adorned stately home dating back to the thirteeth century and the Lucy family had lived there since then, it's now run by the national trust.
I was particularly amazed by the marble inlayed tables and the intricate patterns, we were told it could take 20 years or more to make the larger tables, they just facinated me.
All six of us enjoyed wandering around the home and grounds, also our walk around the small lake, very comfortable chatting together.
We next drove towards home along the pretty country lanes, with hedgerows and daffodils growing along the verges. We were having dinner at the Plume of Feathers, a carvery in Shirley thats not too far from John and Maris' house. The food was good and we spent the next 4 hours happily chatting, with lots of laughter and good humour.
Another lovely day comes to a close as we say our goodbyes and return to John and Maris' house, to a piece of home made banana cake and further chats with John and Maris.
Chat again soon.
