At last we are home again, back to the sun and being able to afford to enjoy ourselves. We thought the humidity would hit us more but we were ok. We stayed a few days in the same guest house KL, which has gone down hill quite quickly. We visited Bukit Bintang, a shopping centre that Ed and Kat loved. Well we were sad to be leaving Coral Bay and also our friend Cat who we stayed with, on her drive way. However we were not sad to be leaving the most annoying person in the world. This was one of Cat's friends who has come from England to live with Cat until she got a job and a place of her own. She had no money and expected meals on the table and a free bed everyday, and she was so rude about it as well, not even grateful, but for cat's sake we didn't cause too...

Our last day in Cairns was my 23rd birthday. Will bought me a jigsaw puzzle of a snake, amongst other things, and I insisted it needed to be completed on the day, thinking it would be a simple task, we ended up spending hours on a near impossible puzzle (very frustrating!!). Sorry it's been so long! (We are rubbish!) Singapore seems so long ago now... but I'll try to remember what we did! Our first impressions of Singapore were both the huge skyline- everything goes up, and the differences between Singapore and all the other Asian cities we had been to. We were met by Mariana (Jane's friend) at Kota Kinabalu airport and headed back to her home which has amazing views of the city, the sea and the mountain from the top of a hill. Mariana kindly let us stay with her whilst we visited Borneo. That evening she cooked us roast chicken, with real homemade roast potatoes- yummy!!
