day 3 started bright, sunny and hot once again. a trip down to pier 83 to catch a speedboat out to Liberty Island was to start with. However once there we where told that a sppedboat race was going on south of the pier and the boat will be heading north, we decided to opt out and thought about heading to ground zero. Next thing a shifty guy appoached us and asked if we wanted a lift to Ground 0, we were like nah mate its ok, he said sure guys ill take you in my limo........!!! Ok then! so all 5 of us bail into this black pimped out limo for $10 a piece and headed through NYC toward ground 0 in true style!!!!! we loved it.
once at ground 0 it was quite strange really, the site was massive, bigger then i ever thought, the size of the towers really then where brought into sclae seeing buldings 3 times smaller which were huge anyway,. they seemed alot of people down there trying to make a quick dollar from other peoples misfortunes which i thought was abit sick! there was alot of weirdos shouting about conspiracy thoeries again not plesent! we then head for wall st and sweet irish bar! had a couple of cheeky pints and caught an advert about a live footbal game this weekend, it was only advertising Newcastle Vs Hull City! on Wall St! awesome!!!!! haha.
we were then a short walk to the staten island ferry which was free and passes right by the statue of liberty so that was good and killed a few hours!
once we got back we headed down town to do a spot of shopping, Macy's and Saks were to big for my liking! to many handbags and gay blokes saying how nice there hair was...... and that was just Adam and Danny!!! time to bail out!
a quick stop off at the roackafella before heading for some food. we visited time sq once more again but this time went through on the back of some ticycles which was fun. bk to jaz for one last night in the pit. early night required as a 9 hour greyhound to buffalo at 5am followed!
After a boring 9 hour journey to buffalo we found ourselves in a equally boring buffalo, there was absolutely nothing to do apart from find a decent irish bar and get drunk, so we did, mission accomplished! we rose this morning and jumped in a local town bus to head to niagara falls.
our 1st sight of the falls was heading over the border to canada where our digs are for the night, they are breathtaking at 1st sight. digs aare nice and clean, pool table again which pleases danny! we hired bikes and headed out to the falls. Niagara is a weird place, its like a natural beauty in a mini cheesey vegas!!! hard to picture but my photos will show you, as for the falls though they are amazing, the sheer power and force of them is remarkable. we plan to ride the maid of the mist tomorrow morning before a long 14 hour bus trip to chicago through the night tomorrow! not good, but once there ill be happy, chicago is an amazing city and im gonna be there little tour guide for 5 days! sweet!
