Road trip!!!!!! Ok, so we are really in a mini-van and not chinqua chente. There are 6 of us so the mini van was our only option. We were trying to get on a train this morning, but three ticket terminals shut down on us, and by the time we got up to the ticket window, our third option train was sold out.

While the guys were in line at the ticket window, I got in line at the car counter. I may have smiled a time or two, but at the end of it, a previously nearly 800+ euro trip in a van was just over 200 euros, cheaper than our one train ticket.

We tried to avoid driving, but it must be kismet, and we are on our way out of Rome, headed to Tuscany. We do have a room in Florence tonight, so we'll see if we make it! We also have to be in Venice on Tuesday for our flight to Paris, so that is our goal. If we don't make it back, you'll know we are all somewhere in Italy, squishing grapes between our toes and playing soccer bare feet in the piazza.
