Well a bit of a catch up now that I have wrestled the iPad from Steph.... On the sunniest day in Hong Kong we packed our bags and had one last trip up the peak before heading to the airport...
We were flying to Cairns via Brisbane, and while waiting for the internal flight we soon discovered that there were two flights to Cairns... Fortunately we were queuing for the earlier flight before being turned down at the entrance to the plane and running along the airport hall... We arrived just as boarding started...
Around mid afternoon we arrived at the Lakes Resort just outside of Cairns and were pleased with the spacious self catering flat. We picked up some essentials in town and then had our first night of home cooking which was a refreshing change. As a reward we treated ourselves to a local beer or two at the local bar. Bit disappointing that it closed at 9.30pm but the benefit was that the complex was very quiet.

Not much to report today. If anyone tells you that Cairns is small, they are not lying. Chill out day.
