Yo Dudes! Hope all is well in Blighty?

We left Koh Samui 5 weeks ago and travelled by boat to neighbouring Koh Phangnan - a smaller island which is much less developed, half the roads are just dirt tracks (and v hilly!) beautiful small bays and small villages, a very laid back feel with swings hanging from palm trees on the beach and hammocks in every beach bar overlooking the ocean.

We celebrated our wedding anniversary - no. 4! and treated ourselves to a thai massage on the beach - the best we've ever had - great after all of the hilly runs we've been doing - a snake nearly landed on us by falling out of a tree one day, really scary!

Hired a quad bike to explore the harder to reach eastern part of the island - brilliant fun but very easy to skid due to dusty conditions, nearly stacked it because of a group of monkeys sitting on the road!

We spent some time in the neighbouring island of Koh Tao - an even smaller island which has amazing marine life and great diving. We have seen two rhinoceros hornbill birds - they kept landing on our balcony, we fed them bananas daily but they still tried to steal Susie's underwear! We have woken up with a few univited guests in our bed too - getting used to that now after 3 months!

Koh Phangnan is known as the party island due to the legendary Full Moon Parties, where between 10 - 20,000 people party on the beach until sunrise, they have parties every week too - half moon, black moon etc, so we have of course attended these - great fun and have met some nice people. We both felt really ill after having a few too many buckets and 'magic' shakes at the Full Moon - delayed our departure from Thailand and had to pay an overstay fine to immigration as a result, oops!

We are now on the east coast of Malaysia having spent time in Penang - Georgetown - a bustling city with impressive colonial architecture and a mixture of chinese, indian and malay cultures. We went on a trishaw to explore Little India and Chinatown, enjoyed our first indian meal in ages - brilliant! - eating with our fingers like the Malaysians do, Brad seems to enjoy this :o)

We caught the boat to Langkawi island - one of Malaysia's top holiday spots but we think it's a bit over-rated. Funny seeing the muslims go swimming fully clothed and in their full dress. We went up the Gunung Machinchang mountain via cable car - 710m, amazing views over the andaman sea, amongst the clouds it was a bit chilly though!

We're about to head over to the East coast of Malaysia - Pulau Perhentian Islands, and will work our way down the east coast of Malaysia heading down to Kuala Lumpur to meet a mate from London whose hanging with us for 6 weeks.
