On our merry way again today, leaving our memories of our glacial hike behind us. Yes we did it! 4th time lucky as it turns out. We had half a day of exhilerating climbing, falling (!!) and breathtaking scenery. We have captured most of it on camera and will download the pictures soon. Landed in Franz Joseph and killing time waiting for clouds to dissipate. Booked on Helihike (helicopter ride then 2 hour hike around glacier!) but clouds stopped play. Killing time in such a place is a hardship we trust no one else has to suffer!!! Fingers crossed it happens for this afternoon.
