So hear we are back in Agra in India for the second time in 6 days! BUt hey its not too often that you get to see one of the 7 wonders of the world twice in a week! So we decided against going to the Taj Mahal again today and instead opted for a visit to the "baby Taj", which low and behold is a smaller version of the Taj Mahal, albeit older!

Any way, we have finished the first half of our trip in India and parted company with our original small group and have joined another considerably larger group of 15! So lots of people from lots of different countries, just struglling at the moment to remember everyones names!! Tomorrow we are heading off to Jaipur (again) but this time we are taking a local bus so that should be a bit different! Then after that we are going to be moving on to new towns and eventually working our way to the sunny sunny beaches of Goa.

So over the last few days we have been in the capital city, New Delhi. Its HUGE. We were in a part of old Delhi called Karol Bagh which consists of lots of market stalls and shops selling anything from fruit and veg, to leather belts, to suit cases or even small plastic guitars, but not forgeting the small army of shoe polishers who are certain that flip flops and sandles can be cleaned. We had two very different experiences on the Metro too, on sunday went to Conaught Place (CP) with our old group and found a trains that were virtually empty, adn thought, "wow this is nice, whats all the fuss about". Then on monday we went back to the same place, and now i know what the fuss is all about! Its VERY busy, everywhere. On our second visit to CP we visisted an underground shopping centre, which was basicly a dark and cavonous underground network of lanes which housed 'shops' selling lots of t-shirts, shirts, shoes and electonic goods. We were also hoping to have a chance to have a nice chill in our hotel and catch up on some lost sleep from the fist trip, however it was pretty noisy with a continual buzz of phones ringing, chatter, TV's and not forgetting the good old car horns!

Before the time runs out on the internet i want to pay homage to the dress sense of the Indian nation. Whilst not trying to generalise a population of over a billion people but WOW, its like we have been transported to the 1970's with flared trousers (preferably grey) long sleeved shirts with a wide collar and topped off witht the all important tank top. Now you have to remember not any normal tank top will surfice, so if possible you need a brightly coloured (maybe lime green or pink) sparkly woolen tank top. If you have this clothing combination at home, you would fit right in here. However if you happen to find said articles in your wardrobe, just pinch yourself and remind yourself that you are in fact in 2010!
