A full final day before leaving tomorrow...the boys and I made a trip to Trader Joe's (so as not to leave Teacher Joe without any groceries in the house) and one to STAPLES, where I spent $250 of D.A. travel money on whiteboard markers to take with us to the JBFC (http://www.jbfc-online.org/). Every chance I got I was proofreading comments and entering grades into the DA system (6 more to go as of this post), or putting final things into my suitcase (plus almost 300 whiteboard markers - otherwise I'm packing light!)
We had a nice Departure Dinner as a family, and toasted Deerfield (for this opportunity), Thomas (for being a great big brother), Luca (for being an indepedent 5 year-old...fingers crossed), and Joe (for being the willing stay-at-home this time).
So I guess I'm ready. Passport, money, vaccinations, malaria pills...I will leave the house in about 7 hours so I'm gonna head to bed shortly! Dont' know how much internet access I'll really have, or how much I'll like this blog interface (one glitch is that I must post a photo for each entry, it looks like - this one is from a month ago), but let's give it a try!
