Hi everyone,
CHECK OUT OUR NEW PICS!!!
Firstly hi Han, its so lovely to hear from you...i hope all is ok with you and your learning French is going well...Bonjour..urr not sure what else to say. Anyway when you have time send an email to our account so we can catch up fully....anyway to all others we're now in Byron Bay - we arrived today but first to backtrack what we've been up to.
We have now been to Frasier Island, we decided on a day trip on a big 4x4 bus. We started with catching a mini ferry over which had a small moggy on which was odd, we then headed up the 75mile beach...you travel on the sand and its actually classed as a road on the island. A little while up the beach we stopped at Eli creek which is a huge creek that you can walk through, the water was beautifull, very clear and not to deep. We then moved further up to Maheno shipwreck, this is a shipwreck which has been on the island since roughly the 1930's, we took a few pics then moved on to see the çoloured sands'which is a bit like the Pinnacles we saw in Perth but by no means as impressive.
After a all you can buffet (yum) we arrived a short drive later to McKenzie Island, this is an amazing lake which is in the picture above, the water is all rain water, we had a quick dip in it, it was freezing but definately worth it...as you can see the water changes to deeper shades of blue as it gets to the centre.
oh no times up so I'm gonna have to leave it there until next time...there's more on this though...
Love to all, gem and wes xxx
