Ok then....... we left Hoi An and heading towards Hanio - north of Vietnam it was an early start and had a pit stop in Hue half way there. Vic and I had packed for our travels - hoping that the sun would never leave the sky - hence very little warm clothes! What was worrying us at this point was all the people who was telling us that hanio was the coldeast it had been in years!! MAN>..... so at this point we went shopping for some long seleeved t-shirts and a jumped. After walking arounf a load of markets and busy busy streets i spotted a plcae that we cold have a pit stop - i headed straight for it..........well - that was when it happened..........that was wheni nearly blooming well blinded myself!! and all vic could do was bend over in two and laugh her self silly!!! I went head first for this place but what i didn't notice was there was a randon washing line thing at my eye level (which i didn;t see) just as i turned my ehad - vic shouted at me and then i done a rather stupid stumble and got a bit scared - all in front of a some local ols men!! well they must have thought - typical westerners - haven't a clue!! What gets me is that how the heck did Vic see it!! she never see stuff like that!! :) haha I still congradulate her now - and she still laughs!! Anways - the coffee shop was lovely!! def worth nearly taking my eye out - a perfect little place to get a wee trat before getting back on the bus.

we arrived in Hanio at 0530 in the morning and as per usual - all the passengerson the bus was piled out onto the street outside the city and then we got piled into taxi!! this is turning oput to be my pet hate here - but you really don't have a choice somet imes - but to go with the flow!! Our taxi man obviously was bringing us to his uncles, brothers - twice removed cousins hlf sisters hotel hwihch he had no idea where it was!! :) I refused to stay there - but there was no where else - even though it was early i was still on the ball - and decided to book a tour through the hotal to go to Halong Bay (the reason why we went to Hanio) all was well - we promised to check into the htoe lon our return the next day!! HAHA well that didn't happen - we got collected from there at 0800 and we brought out rucksacks with us - it tunred out that quite a few other farang (tourists) had the same plan in mind!!

and off to Halonf Bay we went....................
