Got up to bright sunshine and drove down to the Cascade. Very nice and sunny spot. Last bit of off road as we drove out from the cascades and onto the 'main' road. Stopped on route for the obligatory omelette, the owner of the cafe seemed to be amazed that we requested cheese on the omelette but did provide good chips, or as he wrote on the menu ships, later corrected to shipcs. Mostly roads today as we head North back towards home. Stopped on the way in Tamegroute for haggling to buy the obligatory Tagines and green pottery, bargains galore. A stop off in Zagora for a last check of the cars in Said's garage and lunch (tagine of course) cooked by Said's mother. On up the hill for our last night of wild camping with a good campfire but fortunately no songs.

Another good day of off road driving along sand rivers and dunes. A good fun morning of driving through big dunes. Managed to prove that no matter how good the vehicle and the electronics controlling it you still have to have a level of competence. Couldn't get up an early big dune, before Neil persuaded me you really can run those tyres at 15psi. Then got up no problem. Awoke the next day to calmness and bright blue sky. Usual breakfast of porridge and bread, then off into the dessert. A good days driving with lots of variety of sand and rough road with stones. Spent a happy half hour in a fossil field, but found no new dinosaurs. Off for another night's wild camp but a much happier camp with warmth and not many flies.

A wild camp night in the dessert. Woke up to clear skies but ominous looking on the horizon, by the time the breakfast and Neil's morning story was over the sandstorm had moved in.
