The journey was relatively painless, although quite hot! We left Samui by boat to the port of Chumphon, passing Koh Pang Ngan and Koh Tao along the way - as well as a little island called Koh Nang Yuan which we thought looked lovely and might be worth a visit another time. We arrived in Koh Samui on the ferry in the morning of the 7th May. We had decided between us that we would stay at the same beach I had stayed at previously, owing to it being much quieter and less touristy than other places on the island.
