After surviving a faulty quantas place no aircon for a while, we finally arrived in thailand very tired and very hot. we r now in Bangkok and it is crazy. The people, the noise and the traffic especially the traffic, everytime u cross the road u run the risk of being killed. We went to the grand palace today and another temple which were both amazing, after getting extremely lost round most of Bangkok. The only thing was that they did not have western toilets and sarah had to go in a hole. There was some sort of festival going on and all the monks were praying and chanting. While we were in the palace we got interviewed by 2 uni students studying english and they wanted to know about our lives and what we thought of thailand which was interesting. The flight over was very long and after one bacardi breezer sarah fell asleep at 9. We r off on a day trip 2morrow to the former capital city and have to be up at 7 which will be fun. But it looks really nice and loads of temples too go in. Then we r going to see Kanchburi and the bridge over the river Kwai on friday and then to the markets on sat. We went on a tuk tuk today which is a bit like taking your life in your hands we thought we were gonna die joke. Randon things hav been happening, sarah got offered a banana at 3am on the plane and i saw a squirrel in a cage waiting for a bus. The only complaint so far is that sarahs shower was freezing. Had a nice meal of vegtables and rice for 80p at the hostel which was nice and cheap. The weather is really hot and humid but not that sunny and luckily it has not rained yet. We used the sky train to get around today and ended up in Siam square which was great as had a great many shops like Hermes, chanel and gucci, couldnt quite run to them in our budget though. Had my picture taken outside Chanel and had a loook outside loads of great shops. Not much else to say for the mo but will keep u posted.
