All refreshed from our long seista on Mallorca we dock in the lively port of Barcelona (home of the Barcelona Lemsip .. another story). Never having made it to the Balearic Islands whilst living abroad and hearing how beautiful they are we set sail for the island of Mallorca. The Alhambra in Granada, WOW! This former Muslim stronghold is an astonishing masterpiece to say the least. Exploring the walls and towers of the Alcazabar (fortress) returned panoramic views of the attractive city of Granada in addition to the snowy tops of the distant Sierra Nevada.
