Our time in Wallaroo is coming to a close. It has been jam packed with fishing, crabbing , swimming and sight seeing.Visited nearby towns of Moonta and Port Hughes. Beautiful beaches and bays, every town has a fishing jetty, with anglers trying for Blue Swimmer Crabs and squid.Quaint town centres, a lot of the buildings are original stone houses.Today was about 44 degrees very hot. A sun shiny and windy day In Wallaroo . The town is quite old with lots of original stone buildings mixed with new canal development. A long jetty extends into the gulf to cater for ships to take away the wheat from the big processing/storage facilities near the wharf. Many tourists and local alike spending time on the jetty. The swimming area one of the best I have seen. Pete and Em spent the day squidding and crabbing. Score 1 squid and 10 blue swimmer crabs....

Lovely to sleep in this morning and start a leisurely drive to Wallaroo only 500k today. Beautiful scenery coming into Mildura, vineyards and orchards, cheap fruit side stalls, not good for us as we have to give up our fruit N veg when we hit Renmark SA. Huge expanses of wheat on the way to Renmark. We stopped and lunched on the Murray. Left Dunedoo in a big fog this morning. Pete and Tone are now known as Fred and Barney due to an irate truckie who didn't like their chat on the Cb's. Lunched at West Wylong. Another big 900 km drive today finished up at bottle bend road on the Murray River. Now this is living!
