Checked for road closures before packing up, Corindi open and Grafton bypassed by Centenary Drive.
We are amazed at the levels of water everywhere. From Centenary Dr you can see South Grafton under water. The river clearing its banks at Ullmarra and Brushgrove. McLean with its tourist info centre surrounded by water. A few homes on the river at Harwood inundated by water lucky there are on stilts.
The weather has been overcast and the rain held off thus far, looks heavy towards Woodburn.
No worries light showers only, home by lunch time.
We are amazed at the water levels through the Tweed valley. Although we have seen the news reports the volume of water is astounding.
Really to think that over about 400 km's we traveled in the last couple of days the volume of rain received in the mid and far north coast and the minor and major flooding is incredible. Including coming home to Tweed.
We have had such a fabulous trip, the girls have matured together and really enjoyed each others company.
Pete again did a fabulous job to get us home safely.
We covered 7500 km's and enjoyed it all.
