After 2 nights in Forster it is time to head home. We had our first day of rain yesterday and just slothed around for the day.
Leaving Forster the weather is showery. Flooding has occurred in several regions on the north coast, Bellingen, Murwillimbah, Tumbulgum, Chinderah and Fingal.
Our aim to make it home today!
Kempsey and nearby towns have a remarkable amount of water flowing into their rivers, with local flooding to come.
The rain is heavy from Urunga to Coffs.
Nick and Kim are ahead of us having left kempsey today themselves.
They have got through some single lanes on the Pacific Highway north of Coffs, however the high tide might cause us some problems.
Famous last words!
We have pulled up stumps at Corindi Beach caravan park. We are only 1 of 5 at the park. They have had cancellations in bucket loads. The Pacific Highway is closed 2 km from here. Set to reopen at midnight. Fingers Crossed for tomorrow. On the plus side, off to the pub for dinner!
