We are spending our last three nights in The Algarve in a town called Lagos and it is beautiful. It's at the south of Portugal and there are many little seaside villages to stay in. We are especially charmed by the beaches surrounded by jagged cliffs and caves you can swim into. We hit the beach today and rented sun loungers with a shady cover but still got lots of sun. The 30 degree heat is relieved quickly by a dip in the cool Mediterranean waters that are a beautiful blue. We swam and swam and swam some more....it just felt so good! This little town feels like there are a lot of expats who come to retire and we can see why. It's affordable and you can live comfortably here for cheap. The weathers nice for most of the year and this laid back town has everything you need. I wonder if we've found our retirement destination?
We have a lot of pictures of the beaches but the one here sums it up...ta da!! I send our loved ones a sip of sunshine and look forward to sharing it with you when we return!
