We left our motel at 7am and in 10 min we were in a queue to board the Spirit for our return to the mainland. Finally parked and on board by 8:15 and then left at nine. What more can I say but a very boring 10 hours of sailing, although we had our recliner spots booked and we had front row seats this trip so we could see the water continuously. Finally docked at about 7pm and then got called to our deck to sit in our car for ages trying to get off. The controllers have it all systematically planned for how to get 1400 passengers off quickly as they are trying to board the next lot for the night sail back to Devonport. They do not have the time for idiots, not us, who when going to their cars find they have flat batteries and the idiot was two in front of us and as we are parked within 15cms of each other you have to sit until everything is cleared until someone can reverse and get out and then we all can. Grrrr not what we needed after 12 hours or boredom and the need to get our of there. Anyway we eventually got out and found our way back to Kallista to our darling Jacqueline and Richard's place where wine and hot succulent chicky wings (family favourite) were waiting for us at 9pm when we finally rolled in. And so endeth our overseas holiday for this time.
Sunday morning we lazed as Jacqueline was being a bunny and delivering easter eggs to an old peoples home and finally we met up with her, still dressed as a bunny, at a local winery where we partook of delicious bubbles and a lovely cheese platter on a magnificent afternoon overlooking the valleys of Seville etc. The evening ended with dinner at a dumpling house which was rather tasty also.
The workers have all gone off to work, sad face from all, and we are heading over to Seville to stay for the night with Ave and Jane (20 minutes away) and then on Tuesday to Stanley for a night with Jess, Sean and the girls and then to home on Wednesday. Final post for this trip will be done on our return.
