Last night, after a sunbathe with Helen in the botanic gardens, I got on a 14 hour bus journey which brought me here Byrons bay. somehow my eyes are still open! this morning I have been paddling (swim tomorrow!!), walked to the most easterly point in Australia, seen dolphins, a python, a lizard and booked my trips to paradise aka Fraser Island (largest sand island in the world!) and a yachting trip around the Whitsundays. The further north you go the sunnier and hotter it is, that\'ll be why I\'ve got a pink face then, forgot the suncream, don\'t worry it\'s not that bad!! Small but beautiful town here on the east coast - the first point in Australia to see the sun! Lots and lots of surfies here, waves not quite as huge as this but the water is really warm, well compared to New Zealand! Moving up to Hervey Bay tomorrow.
