We had a snowy night at Hatcher Pass Lodge and a great dinner with Mollie, Trish, and Hap, the owner...woke to 3 inches of snow on the ground and more falling...then back to Autumn on the way to Glenallen, Alaska on Monday, 23rd.

It is Autumn here now, with termination dust on the mountains. Recently we flew across the Inlet to watch the bears feeding in the river at Katmai National Park. Now we are packing to leave early tomorrow...but waiting for the natural gas furnace installation to be completed before we can load the car....talk about "last minute"! It will be great to come home to natural gas heat and hot water after almost 4 years with the expensive propane system.
